REWARD (Regional & Welsh Appraisal for Resources and Development) is a partnership including most of the English Regional Development Agencies and the National Assembly for Wales and is being led by the Environment Agency.
One of the main outputs of the project is the Regional Economy-Environment Input-Output model or REEIO. This can be used for analysing the effects of economic trends and policies on resources and the environment. As part of the project a database on resource productivity of the regions of England and of Wales, showing the implications for policy and for business will also be produced along with examples of how these tools have been used so far.
An important element of this work is SCP.net which is seeking to bring together the work undertaken by REAP as part of the Ecological Budget project and REWARD.
